Description:

Our monthly Wednesday programs include the continuation of a three-part series, The Wisdom of the Dream. The second part of the series,Inheritance of Dreams, focuses on Carl Jung’s conception of archetypes — the stories and symbols that are shared by different cultures and that make up the Collective Unconscious. During this segment, Jungian Analyst Dr. John Beebe, M.D., identifies archetypes in science-fiction films such as Star Wars®, and the video features rare footage tracing Jung’s travels to Africa, Britain and New Mexico.

The segment will include a moderated discussion with the Rev. Daniel Budd.

About Budd:

Rev. Daniel E. Budd has been Parish Minister since August 1999. He was ordained in 1979, and from 1979 to 1984 he served Unitarian Universalist congregations in Hartland Four Corners, Vermont, and then in Midland, Texas; from 1984 to 1999 he served the Unitarian Universalist Church of Buffalo, New York.

Rev. Budd holds a B.A. in Psychology from Otterbein College (1973) and a Master of Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary (1979). He currently serves on the Community Leader’s Council/Greater Cleveland of Planned Parenthood of Northeast Ohio, the Delegate Assembly for Greater Cleveland Congregations, and on the Board and Program Committee of the C.G. Jung Educational Center of Cleveland.
