Dates: A series of six Wednesday evenings – 10/3/12, 10/10/12, 10/17/12, 10/24/12, 10/31/12, 11/7/12

Cost: $180 for the entire series. Registration is necessary as only 8 spots are available. We ask that each participant provide their own copy of Memories, Dreams and Reflections by Carl Jung and bring it with them to all sessions. No CEUs available for this series.

Event Summary:

Jung by the Fire is an intimate study group focusing on Jung’s autobiography, Memories, Dreams and Reflections. This is conceived to be an in-depth reading and reflection on Jung’s story and his description of his process with the intention of exploring on what reading Jung means to us today. The group is geared toward all types of participants with an interest in analytical psychology’s clinical, professional, personal, artistic or philosophical importance to our lives and thinking. It will be less didactic and more reflective of the insights and input of participants, facilitated from an analytic perspective. In short: Why read Jung and what can we learn from his autobiography in 2012? 

Series Objective: To explore Jung and his work through his autobiography with an eye to why his thought is still relevant to modern readers.

About the Presenter: 
Dianne Braden is a  Jungian Analyst in private practice in Solon, Ohio. She is a senior analyst in the Inter-regional Society of Jungian Analysts for whom she has served on a number of training committees. She is a former Treasurer of the Pittsburgh Society of Jungian Analysts and has presented papers on a variety of Jungian topics in New York, Kansas, Ohio and Colorado.
